For the first time, the Swiss National Museum is now offering insight into the comprehensive archives of the ‘Presse Diffusion Lausanne’ and ‘Actualité Suisse Lausanne’ press photography agencies which were recently incorporated into the museum’s collection. A fascinating selection of significant events, unforgettable moments, celebrity snaps and portraits of everyday heroes form the core of the collection. The collection encompasses everything from carefully planned photo reportages of everyday life in the 40s and 50s to an impressive image-based chronicle of the second half of the 20th century and the fast-paced digital world of the modern-day photo agency «Keystone».
