Mani Matter (1963-1972)
Mani Matter (1936-1972) ist zurück im Landesmuseum Zürich. Die Ausstellung über Leben und Werk des beliebten Berner Chansonniers war ein grosser Erfolg in Zürich, in Schwyz und im Bernischen Historischen Museum. Ab 26. März 2013 können Dokumente aus Mani Matters Nachlass im Landesmuseum wiederentdeckt werden. Die Ausstellung hält wichtige Stationen seines Lebens fest, zeigt Briefe, Schallplatten und vieles mehr. Per iPad sind zudem sämtliche Texte und zahlreiche Filmdokumente und Interviews zugänglich.
Züricher Festspiele

Züri Fäscht, town festival with firework display
Hundreds of thousands of visitors gather for the greatest carnival in Switzerland. The Züri Fäscht provides fun and entertainment for all generations and tastes, both around the lake and throughout the inner city, on land, on water and in the air.
The different rides are fun, the tight-rope and trapeze acrobatics breathtaking, the countless concerts and mobile discos hip-swinging and the two great musical firework displays, set off from the lake on Friday and Saturday evening (11pm-11.30pm), are truly spectacular.
Ironman Zurich Switzerland
Athletes from a total of about 49 nations will be in the starting line-up of the Ironman Zurich, including elite national and international figures. A fairground right on Lake Zürich with various attractions offers a diverse range of sport and entertainment.
Swiss National Day Celebration
The celebrations surrounding Swiss National Day will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a procession from Werdmühleplatz via Bahnhofstrasse to Bürkliplatz. The ceremony will be followed by a public festival with folklore.
Streetparade Zurich
The colourful house and techno party attracts hundreds of thousands of dance enthusiasts to the Zürich lake basin every year. The Zurich Streetparade is a colourful mix of love mobiles, live performances by top DJs, international stars and demonstrations.
Dörflifest Zurich
The multi-cultural "village festival" in downtown Zürich offers live bands, artistic performances, culinary specialties, and much, much more. The Stadtmusik Zürich (music of the city of Zürich) band will open the Dörfli-Fäscht with an open-air concert.
Theater Spektakel Zurich
When the summer is coming to a close, the Zürcher Theater Spektakel (Zürich Theatre Spectacle)
once again presents the magic of open-air theater at its very best: Since 1980, the Zürcher Theater Spektakel has been continuously developing as one of the most important European festivals for contemporary performing arts. Street artists come here from all over the world to participate in this international theatre festival on the Landiwiese meadow on Lake Zürich, to polish their skills.
