In the fictional meeting with the fashion designer, Emilie Flöge (1874–1952), Klimt’s emancipated life partner, most intimate confidante and muse, the student embarks on a search for clues. On an exciting journey to fin-de-siècle Vienna, both women reflect on Klimt’s life and work from a female perspective, discussing controversial triumphs and bitter scandals as well as tragedies and love affairs.
